.SYNOPSIS... 
It will continue to be not quite as hot for today and Wednesday
with high temperatures ranging from a few degrees above average
for the coast and valleys to around 5 degrees above average for
the deserts. High pressure to the east will strengthen and expand 
westward for Thursday into the weekend. The heat is expected to 
peak on Saturday with high temperatures for inland areas 10 to 15 
degrees above average, near record setting for the lower deserts 
and portions of the mountains.

COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Thursday)...
It will continue to be not quite as hot for today and Wednesday
with high temperatures ranging from a few degrees above average
for the coast and valleys to around 5 degrees above average for
the deserts. High temperatures through Wednesday will range from
the mid to upper 70s near the coast to the 90s to around 100 for 
the Inland Empire with 110 to 114 for the lower deserts.

High pressure to the east will strengthen and expand westward for
Thursday into the weekend with warming beginning on Thursday. 
High temperatures will warm a few degrees on Thursday to a few 
degrees above average near the coast to as much as 5 to 10 degrees
above average for the deserts. High temperatures on Thursday will
range from the mid 70s to around 80 near the coast to the mid 90s
to 105 for the Inland Empire with 112 to 116 for the lower 
deserts.

.LONG TERM (Friday through Monday)...
High pressure will strengthen into the weekend. The heat is
currently forecast to peak on Saturday with high temperatures 5 to
10 degrees above average for coastal areas and 10 to 15 degrees
above average for inland areas. High temperatures on Saturday will
range from around 80 near the coast to 100 to 110 for the Inland
Empire with 118 to 122 for the lower deserts. The most likely
locations to tie or set new record high temperatures on Saturday
are in the mountains and lower deserts, though there are some
additional valley and inland coastal locations that could also be
near record levels.

High temperatures will begin to cool a few degrees for Sunday and
Monday, but still be around 10 degrees above average for inland
areas on Monday with extreme HeatRisk for the deserts.

.AVIATION... 
281124Z....Coast/Valleys...Patchy low clouds based 1000-1400ft MSL 
increasing in coverage and will continue to push up to 15-20 miles 
inland. VIS 3-6SM where stratus nears terrain and in the valleys. 
Clouds clearing to the coast 15-18Z, remaining BKN-OVC at some of 
the beaches into the afternoon. Low clouds push inland again after 
03Z Wed, spreading first into San Diego County and then further up 
into Orange County likely after 10Z Wed. Bases for Wednesday morning 
will be similar to today, around 1000-1300ft MSL.

Mountains/Deserts...FEW-SCT Cu AOA 15,000 ft MSL possible through 
Tuesday evening. Otherwise, SKC and VFR.

.MARINE...
No hazardous marine weather is expected through Saturday.

.BEACHES...
A south swell of 3-4 ft feet at 17 seconds will produce surf of 3-5 
feet with sets to 6 feet into Wednesday. A Beach Hazard Statement 
remains in effect through 5 PM Wednesday for the elevated surf, 
high rip current risk, and minor tidal overflow.

Wednesday afternoon, a south swell associated with Hurricane 
Genevieve will arrive. Some uncertainty exists in the height of the 
swell, but current forecast shows a swell (170-180 degrees) of 5 ft 
with a period of 14-15 seconds late Wednesday into early Friday, 
becoming more SSW (190-200 degrees) late Friday into Saturday with 
the period lowering to 12-13 seconds. This may produce surf of 5-9 
ft on the south facing beaches north of Oceanside, surf around 3-6 
ft elsewhere, and strong rip and longshore currents at all beaches. 
A High Surf Advisory is in effect from 5 PM Wednesday through 5 PM 
Saturday. In addition to the high surf, evening high tides will be 
above 6 ft this week. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect from 5 
PM Wednesday through 3 AM Saturday for the risk of coastal flooding 
due to the high tides combined with high surf.

     County Coastal Areas-San Diego County Coastal Areas.

     Extreme Heat Warning from 10 AM Thursday to 8 PM PDT Monday for 
     Apple and Lucerne Valleys-Coachella Valley-Riverside County 
     Mountains-San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The 
     Inland Empire-San Diego County Deserts-San Diego County 
     Mountains-San Gorgonio Pass near Banning.

     Extreme Heat Warning from 10 AM Friday to 8 PM PDT Sunday for 
     Orange County Inland Areas-San Diego County Valleys-Santa 
     Ana Mountains and Foothills.

     Heat Advisory from 10 AM Thursday to 8 PM PDT Monday for San 
     Bernardino County Mountains.
